How it Works
Register for the Distance Aquatic PT Certification by completing registration, submitting a copy of current CPR, submitting a copy of current ACSM, AFAA, or ACE Personal Trainer certification, and a payment of $225 (shipping is not included if outside the continental US states).
You receive the manual, study guide, master dictionary of moves, equipment usage, land and water fitness assessments, Equipment Usage DVD, Prepare for Aquatic PT DVD, PT Cert 2 DVD’s and Master Dictionary 3 DVD’s
You review the study materials and video. The written test is mailed to the proctor you indicated on your registration form. You arrange with your proctor to take the written test. The proctor will be supplied with an envelope to return the test to A-PAI.
YOU MUST ARRANGE TO HAVE SOMEONE WITNESS AND PARTICIPATE IN YOUR PRACTICAL. The practical is the completion of the land and water fitness assessments.
You mail the fitness assessments signed by the witness, a copy of your current CPR, a copy of your PT certification, and a copy of a photo ID to A-PAI.
Your tests will be graded and the results sent back within 4 weeks. Retests of either the practical or written can be done for an additional fee.
Once you have registered and we have mailed the materials, there are no refunds unless there is a medical problem.
We have distance examiners than can administer the practical and written tests without so you don't have to find a proctor or video tape your routine in the following locations:
Cindy Holcomb - Longmont, CO, Rebecca Jacobsmeyer - St. Louis, MO, Ute Smith - Cape Girardeau, MO
